And Finally....Some More Cards

Hello!

Sharing my last few teacher cards with you today (if you missed the first 4, make sure you go back to Wednesday and Thursday's posts!)

This first one just uses bits and pieces from my stash to make a fun and energetic collage-type look.

This next one is my first attempt at the ever-popular chalkboard look.  Fortunately for me, the black patterned paper already had some white distressing so all I had to do was stamp and emboss the sentiment and borders on it.  The colorful banners were made by using my Petite Pennants builder punch and some This and That DSP from Stampin' Up!

The last card uses pieces from Studio Calico and Simple Stories.  I just started layering pieces together until I liked what I saw.

I hope these cards put a smile on the teachers' faces as they head off to their new adventures.

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you've found some things you can use on your next creations.

More Teacher Cards

Hello!

As promised, here are a couple more cards that we'll be giving to departing teachers.  This first one is my daughter's favorite of the bunch. :)

I made this card by taking a piece of First Edition DSP (Item #121878) and stamping the background stamp in Versamark ink.  Then I embossed it in Pool Party embossing powder.  After that,  I inked up my brayer with Crumb Cake ink and rolled it across the embossed patterned paper.  The embossing resisted the Crumb Cake ink.  Lastly, to make the blue stand out more, I took a dry towel and wiped over the Pool Party embossing.  Magic!

The next card was directly inspired by a card I had seen somewhere.  The spray of flowers is a rub on from My Mind's Eye.  Actually, all the papers (except the card base) are from MME.

I have a few more cards to share, so come back and visit!

Cards

Hello!

Just popping in today with a couple of cards I made recently.  I was asked to make some cards for teachers that are either retiring or changing schools.  Here's the first one: (It's really not a slanted card.  I just forgot to straighten it before I posted.  So sorry.)

This is a masculine card for the only male teacher in our school.  He's retiring after trying to keep all our kids entertained and active in P.E. everyday.

The arrows are from the new Show and Tell clear Photopolymer stamps from Stampin' Up!  They aren't as long as the yellow and blue show but because they're clear, it's really easy to line them up to make that arrow as long as you'd like! I love them so much.

The sentiment is from a retired SU! set and the splatters are from one of the Paper Pumpkin kits.  Much less messy than spray inks! ;D

Here's another one I made:

This one was really easy to make.  I just cut up pieces from the new Simple Stories collection and adhered them to a card front.  Then I attached some embroidery floss and a fun acrylic rose brad.  Simple, but cute!

Check back this week.  I have a few more cards to share!

Washi Love

Hello!

Do you love Washi Tape?  I do!  I was playing around with some different styles recently and decided to make a couple of cards.  They are both simple but The result was fun.

This first one uses Washi from My Mind's Eye.  I bought it at the Scrapbook Expo I attended with my Sis-in-law and niece.  I love the colors.  The chipboard alpha is from We R Memory Keepers.

This second one was a card I submitted to Paper Crafts magazine but, sadly, was rejected.  Oh well.  I still really, really like it and it may find its way to my daughter while she is gone for 18 months. :) I replaced the floral Washi with the aqua Washi from We R and added some aqua enamel dots from MME.

So there you have two simple Washi cards that could be replicated quickly and easily.
